Dan The Mosquito Man Services
Tick Control
Dealing With Ticks
- Ticks can be a harmful nuisance outdoor pest that can carry and spread diseases such as Lyme Disease and Powassan Virus to people or pets
- Our organic mosquito and tick control spray has proven very effective against ticks and we have nonorganic options available as well.
How it works:
- We will send a text reminder the day before each application to ensure you know we are coming, and you can make sure windows and doors are closed and people and pets will be out of the area to be treated.
- We will come and spray your yard every 3 weeks
- Once we have completed the spray, wait up to an hour to allow the product sufficient time to dry before allowing people or pets to reenter the treated area.
Our tick treatment season runs from the beginning of March through November and can extend to year-round treatment as needed, as ticks can become active at any time temperatures are above freezing.
Some natural ways to prevent and stay safe from ticks
- Keep a tidy yard free of tall grass and piles of brush or leaves, and keep bushes or trees trimmed or pruned.
- Wear long pants and long sleeves when in areas of woods or tall grass
- Plant tick-repelling plants such as lavender, rosemary, sage, mint, and marigolds
- Deter tick-carrying animals from your yard by installing fences, securing garbage bins, managing bird feeders, and avoiding plants that deer commonly feed on, or have them treated with deer repellent.
