Mosquito Control

Dealing With Mosquitos

  • Mosquitoes can carry and spread many harmful diseases such as Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus.
  • We have a variety of different options to treat mosquitoes beginning with our organic spray that is also effective against ticks, gnats and fleas.
  • We also utilize nonorganic sprays, insect growth regulators and organic larvicides that are available upon request and may be suggested based on the geography and characteristics of the area being treated.

How it works:

  1. We will send a text reminder the day before each application to ensure you know we are coming, and you can make sure windows and doors are closed and people and pets will be out of the area to be treated.
  2. We will come and spray your yard with the first 2 applications 2 weeks apart to establish control to start the season, and every 3 weeks for the rest of the season.
  3. Once we have completed the spray, wait up to an hour to allow the product sufficient time to dry before allowing people or pets to reenter the treated area.

Our mosquito season begins in late April when the daily high temperature approaches 70 degrees Fahrenheit and runs through October.

Satisfaction guaranteed- If you are still being bothered by mosquitoes in between sprays, just let us know and we will come and respray free of charge

Some natural ways to help keep your property mosquito-free

  • Ensure windows have screens that fit properly and are free of cuts or holes
  • Eliminate sources of standing water where mosquitoes can breed, such as gutters, bird baths, empty containers, or puddles
  • Keep a tidy yard to eliminate places mosquitoes like to hide by keeping gutters clean, the lawn mowed, bushes trimmed, and free of piles of brush or leaves
  • Plant mosquito-repelling plants such as lavender, basil, citronella, lemongrass, and rosemary
  • Invite or encourage natural predators of mosquitoes, such as bats, dragonflies, damselflies, spiders, frogs, turtles, and birds. Types of birds known to eat mosquitoes include Purple Martins, swallows, waterfowl, and migratory songbirds. Some species of fish are also known to eat mosquitoes.

Did you know? Mosquito eggs laid in puddles can survive for up to a few months after the puddle has dried up
